You must create promotions in order to provide details about offers you want to share with Google shoppers. The promotions builder is located in the Promotions dashboard of your Merchant Center account. It allows you to manually enter individual promotions. Use the promotion builder if you have a small number of promotions to submit. The promotion builder allows you to specify spend thresholds, discount amounts, gift descriptions, and more. After you select your promotion category, the tool will display all of the applicable options for your promotion. Follow the prompts and guides to create your promotion. If you choose to apply your promotions to specific products in your products feed, use the specific products option in the promotion builder. This option allows you to select specific collections of offers from your product feed to either exclude or include in your promotions. You can specify the items that should have a promotion applied through any of the following attributes:.

This page describes how to create promotions that appear at the top of result pages when your users search for certain queries. It assumes that you are familiar with context and annotations files. If you can program, and you want to customize the appearance of your result snippets, see Customizing Your Results Snippets. If a webpage has few other webpages linking to it or is not deemed relevant enough by the Google search algorithm, it appears further down in the results. Google Merchant Center promotions are a feature that allows you to add coupons, discounts, sales, and more on Google Search, Google Shopping, and Google Images. A common misunderstanding is that Google Promotions is a checkout redemption system, which means that you can not apply markdowns. Most merchants will have a discount running on all products before adding them to the basket. But Google Shopping Promotions are required to be redeemed in the checkout. Free Shipping or Discounted shipping needs to be configured in the checkout and can not be applied before it the item is added to the basket.
